Our plein air group went to visit a local farm that’s known for its pumpkins. Last year I rode the hay bale trailer out to the field to paint a pumpkin landscape. I’ll share that painting in a future post. This year I stayed closer to the barn where lines of pumpkins were laid out for easy picking. I was intrigued by the texture of the green on orange pumpkins, and chose this particular pumpkin to paint because of the texture and the cascading dry vine on its stem.
