Hello again! It’s been a while, hasn’t it? With Instagram being my social media focus, blogging was pushed aside, but now I’m hoping to post occasionally here again, since I enjoy sharing more of the behind-the-scenes stories of the creation of my artwork, than what I put in my Instagram posts. Speaking of Instagram, if you’d truly like to keep up with what I’m doing, please consider following me (clicking the links I’ve posted so far will take you to my Instagram page where you can click “follow” if you so choose!)
Meanwhile, here’s a miniature painting I’ve just finished, and if you love it, you can purchase it with the buy now button. 🙂
Into The Fog
Oil paint on wood disc
2 1/2 inch circle – unframed
Sold
Below, you can see the process behind this painting, starting with a pencil sketch of the photograph I took at a local park.
The oil paint and first layers have been added.
Finished, I decided the hole needed to go, so I used spackling paste and scraped it into the hole, letting it dry before painting over the top of it. Sorry the below photo is blurry…but scroll back to the top to see the finished painting, and the hole gone!
I’ve missed you and am now following you on IG. Welcome back to the blog world!
Thank you for the kind welcome back! Thanks also for following on IG. xo
